Sequoia Lanes is nestled in a quiet neighborhood (Forest Park) and as a result you will want to use our "Google Map" tool to find the BEST KEPT SECRET IN COLUMBUS the first time you visit. Instead of relying on drawing people in that saw its "Bowling" sign, Sequoia has become a destination for people who return after having a great time. Those who choose Sequoia include over 2,000 league bowlers, large company's who hold sales meetings, families who bring re-unions & Birthday Parties and groups like the CYP Club whose young adult members return year after year for their annual Rockin' Bowl Party, bowling and volleyball. There is no better bowling available, as testified by the fact that the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) has chosen Sequoia to host the PBA Tour "live on ESPN" for times and just came for a 5th time February 16 - 19, 2012 for the PBA Ricart Ford Open.
Opened in 1963, Sequoia has gone through a huge evolution in the past 8 years. Owned by Tim and Liz Voss, Sequoia has invested large amounts on renovation of its bowling, bar and restaurant resulting in a first class bowling center. The addition of The VolleyPark and Izzee's Barefoot bar in summer of 2009 transformed Sequoia into a well rounded "Sports Entertainment" facility. Sequoia facilities and devoted staff provide its fans a unique combination of Bowling and Volleyball, Leagues and Open Play, Food and Catering, 7-10 Club Sports Bar and outdoor Izzee's Barefoot Sports Bar, Arcade, Pro Shop, Lessons, and Parties.
Without a steady stream of "walk-in" play that most bowling alleys rely upon, Sequoia has concentrated its attention on"Leagues" and hosting "Events" both large or small. The key to success is the Great Value of an environment built on Fun, Food and Drink. The coming year will see the return of events such as the Stefanie Speilman "Bowl for a Cure" and the Don Johnson Memorial for Juvenile Diabetes that has raised over $140,000 in its 4 years at Sequoia.
Sequoia boasts a lot to do. Laser Light Bowling and a Digital Jukebox, a kitchen featuring items you'd expect to find in popular sports bars, a skillful young bar staff that knows all the popular drinks, an outdoor Barefoot patio bar and indoor 7-10 Club Sports Bar with comfortable seating, Karaoke, Ohio Lottery Keno, Free WiFi, an Arcade with Tickets to Prizes, and more....
